UFRAW offers much better raw processing controls - if you can get it to run. That leads me to think both are using the same underlying library DCRAW to read the S200EXR RAW data. It is only recognising 12MP images as 6MP. S7raw doesn't seem to have a very user-friendly interface, but I haven't tested it so far. And so far I noticed that it was way much faster than the crappy FujiFinePix-viewer. This moment I'am trying to get used to Faststone. These links will bring you on sites with now available raw-viewers/converters suitable for the s200exr: Photo sute, gimp cool, but photo shop the standard,i have not tried darkable, but i will give it a go cheers I no i have a linux system ,problem for most folks is learning whole new Under linux darktable, an open source clone of lightroom, works with these raws. Just email adobe and fuji tell them to sort it out mvery sad they bring cameras out with no back up -(
Iridient developer tutorial update#
Program looks more user friendly than S7Raw, so hopefully next update might make it work properly with full resolution images. I still need to check to see what it will do with an image in high sensitivity or extended DR modes. It works on almost every OS under the sun as well.ĭown side is at this stage it only seems to be picking up 1/2 the resolution of an image taken at full resolution.

It requires GIMP, but since both are free, that shouldn't be a big deal. It crashed every time I tried to open a file on my XP laptop, but on my XP desktop worked fine.
Iridient developer tutorial software#
Will get to the CCD-RAW soon! RichĪnother RAW processing software now 'supports' the S200EXR Just posted a few from j-pegs processed in Camera Raw. Thank you so much, Frank! Something that works. Sure, it's not Photoshop, but at least it's an alternative to the Finepix viewer that actually works. Home page is here There's a tutorial here. I've tried s7raw, and yes it does work with the S200EXR. You can preveiw in exporer,it also does batch files best i have found till adobe get there finger out Somebody in this group will hear about the update and spread the word.ĭoes the adobe DNG converter work for these RAW files?Īnd could you then work on the DNG files in LR?įile:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/My%20Documents/raw/s7raw.html So, like grichardanderson, I'm saving both formats. We've tried on Lightroom Beta 3 - still no luck. Granted I had been shuffled from customer support to sales, so the answer was really full of air and hope for a sale. I was told that it was there and I just had to try importing my RAW photos into Lightroom and voila - it would work. The other day I called Adobe to ask about RAW support in their photo products for the S200exr. by converting to Tiff then opening in Raw? I think i am just going to keep shooting J-Peg+Raw until the software catches up.Īlso, j-peg compression seems to be really random, i am a little baffledĬlassy summer edited this topic ages ago. I see that PS5 is coming out soon, have you heard of anything with that? and how are you using Studio best. For RAW processing you are stuck with FinePix Studio.

How are you processing Raw files? I have been able to convert to Tiff in Finepix Studio, then import to Photoshop CS3, but is there no update so that PS recognizes the files directly? I had no problems with the S100fs that i use and understand that this a a different file type, yes?
